Midheim is complex Fantasy First Pen and Paper Roleplaying World, named by its main Continent. Set in a World called Uhn, at this Point not much of its Lore has been put to (digital) Paper - yet. But the Rules of this World, and perhaps other Worlds, is now entering a new era of completion: With the Grimoires of the 5th Edition of the Midheim Guide arriving i will proudly present to you, dear reader, the first truly complete Midheim ruleset!

The raising of Foundations

Coming May of 2025 the 5th Edition of the Midheim Rulebook will be available for the public. On 500 Pages you can find in depth rules for tactical combat, level free character Progression and a classless, sandbox based System that gives ultimate Freedom and Depth in Complexity.

The Joy of a new Journey

Characters are made from building blocks, modules, that each provide a lot of personalisation and can layout blueprints for fast or long term Development. Since you earn Progression Points instead of Levels and can freely spent them without being restricted by classes any Player can find Joy in seeing the endless possibilities and fine grained individualization that is possible in Midheim.

Combat in Midheim is brutal and tactical. 14 different Weapon Types provide over 500 Combat Manoeuvres of different Skill, allowing Combatants to unleash devestating Combos and execute true Team Tactics.

Runic Circles

Mages can draw from over 400 Spells which are categorized into 4 basic Magy Types. Spells of each Magic type can be combined freely, as long as you possess their knowledge. The casts are elevated by an Upgrade System: Upgrades may empower a Spell cast or uniquely change how it works entirely. Upgrades are often unique to certain Spells and give a new level of Creativity and Flexibility for Casters. They enable Players to roleplay a Magic Weaving Wizard like non before them.

Olden Wisdom and fresh Winds

The Manoeuvres and Spells have been balanced in such a way that each of the 14 weapon types and countless Mage combinations have unique playstyles available that all are powerful and each fill their own niche while still solving their common Tasks. Choose yourself if you want to be an Elemental Shaman , an Arcane Sorcerer or an accursed Witch, a ranged Assassin that eliminates important targets, a flanking Damage Dealer, the best Sword Duelist of the lands or Shield Tank that protects their allies. Mix and combine typical Archetypes or create your own.
