Welcome to Midheim - Stories of War for times of Peace

Midheim is complex Fantasy First Pen and Paper Roleplaying Rulebook and also the main Continent of the World of Uhn, a vast Fantasy Continent. The Rulebook is what is in the most presentable state, as you will see when you study the old Grimoire that is the Midheim Compendium.

The Midheim Rulebook is a tabletop RPG rulebook has been under constant construction since 2016, now reaching version 4.8 with 5.0 on the not-so-distant Horizon. This next Major Version is supposed to be the first Major, Public Version of the Rulebook available.

On over 400 pages you can find a flexible, classless, level-based rulebook that focuses on free character development and a tactical, in-depth and fairly realistic combat system.

Combat is based around over 500 Manoeuvres - abilities that are tied to weapon types. With a fluid action economy players can easily combine Manoeuvres to unleash devastating combos or tenacious defences. Characters will be able to truly set themselves apart by mastering their Weapontypes and personal Fighting Styles, becoming legendary Fighters in the process.

After each battle the Characters earn Successes and Failures which they can exchange for Progression Points. These then can be spent to aquire better Manoeuvres, advanced Spells, more Talents and heightened Attributes, making Levels obsolete.

Mages can draw from over 600 Spells which are categorized into 4 basic Magy Types. Spells of each Magic type can be combined freely, as long as you possess the Lexika in which those Spell have been written or you meet a Sage that may teach you their Secrets. Spells are versatile tools, they can be upgraded for additional cost to alter their abilities or to combine them with other Magical Casts!

The Manoeuvres and Spells have been balanced in such a way that each of the 14 weapon types and countless Mage combinations have unique playstyles available that all are powerful and each fill their own niche. Choose yourself if you want to be an Elemental Shaman, a Summoner of Demons, a ranged Assassin that eliminates important targets, a flanking Damage Dealer that attacks from the Shadows or a Shield Tank that protects their allies. Mix and combine typical Archetypes or create your own: Everything is possible with the right combination of Manoeuvres and Spells!
